The SL 72 shoes were first introduced by adidas in 1972 as part of the SL (Super Light) range of running shoes. The SL 72 was designed as a lightweight racing shoe, and this modern version honours that sporting heritage. They feature a lightweight nylon upper with soft suede overlays and a low-profile rubber outsole. The distinctive, retro-style SL 72 logo on the side is a nod to the original.
